How Gather works

Gather is built for rooms, not one-off promoters. You create a venue, put nights on the calendar, and keep the list.

There are two kinds of nights. Free ones can go live immediately. Paid ones need Stripe Connect so card money can land in the venue and Gather can take its 13% application fee.

Naming a venue is only for people who run a room. Invited staff and ticket holders skip that form.

The path most people take

1. Create an account.
2. Name your first venue.
3. Connect Stripe if you will charge for tickets.
4. Create an event and at least one ticket type.
5. Publish and share the public night page.
6. Scan QRs at the door.

You can skip Stripe forever if every ticket is free. The moment a type costs money, Stripe has to be connected and payout-ready.
